And what a successful season it has been!

Throughout the season our team showed substantial improvement. After each week the coaching staff evaluated performances and listed each swim in which the swimmer swam a season best time. In most cases at least half the swims resulted in time drops. Many of those time drops were not just a few tenths, rather seconds and chunks of seconds!

As the dual meet season drew to a close we began to prepare for the post season. We were fortunate enough to be able to ensure that every swimmer who made it through the season was able to compete at our YAIAA League Championship Meet. And that's where our team really started to shine!

We saw more time drops, again many of them were large time drops, and had a number of swimmers place or improve enough to qualify for the PIAA District 3 Championship Meet where those swimmers would continue to improve and impress.

Congratulations go out to our entire Championships Team, but especially to senior Bradley Strathmeyer who earned YAIAA and District 3 Gold by winning the 100 Butterfly and 500 Freestyle events. Bradley cruised to victory in the 500 Freestyle at the League Meet and broke the Pool, Meet, and League Records in the process with a time of 4:39.89. He rode that wave of success to victory at the District Meet and claimed Gold in both events again. In the 100 Butterfly he lowered his own school record to 52.01. Good luck to Bradley and to first year swimmer, sophomore Reed French, as they prepare for the PIAA State Championship Meet. Bradley qualified in both the 100 Butterfly and 500 Freestyle. Reed qualified in the 500 Freestyle.

Our entire team deserves to be praised for their efforts this year. There were many highlights to our season, but the way the team shined during the post-season is especially praise worthy. Congratulations to all our swimmers. Their contributions to the culmination of our excellent season are listed below.
